. . . go from being paralyzed by their emotions to understanding that emotions are here to help them make better decisions. These decisions can lead to more life satisfaction at work, in relationships and with themselves. This change comes through being in a safe environment where they are validated, educated and empowered to trust themselves.
I'm your friendly anxiety-and-trauma whisperer here in Bloomington! I help students, professors, and local residents untangle stress, quiet the mind, and reclaim a little peace in their busy lives.I take a practical, no-nonsense approach to therapy—but I promise we can laugh a little along the way. Using tools like Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and other evidence-based techniques, I guide people through anxiety, trauma, and life’s lessons so they can feel grounded, capable, and maybe even a little lighter.
Whether you’re a student buried in deadlines, a professor juggling classes and research, or a local navigating life’s ups and downs or a traumatic past experience, I’m here to help you find balance, clarity, and a sense of calm. When I’m off-duty, you might find me listening to my husband's punk or jazz bands, crocheting toys, or taking classes on talking to loved ones who have passed on. Ready to feel a little less stressed and a lot more like yourself? Let’s do this together.

Practical tools for reducing anxiety
Evidence-based approaches tailored to you
In our first session, we’ll go over the electronic paperwork I send ahead of time. This includes office policies, consent for treatment, intake forms, and your insurance or payment information. My goal is to give you practical tools right away, so you can begin to feel some relief from the very first day.If you’re using insurance, I’ll handle the billing for you. Because it can take a few weeks for claims to process, I encourage you to check with your insurance company beforehand so you’ll know what to expect.
In our ongoing sessions, we’ll sit together and focus on what matters most to you. When we come to a sticking point, we’ll pause and gently untangle the thoughts, beliefs, and emotions that feel knotted. I’ll bring in skills and techniques that can shift perspective and create more calm in your daily life.Between sessions, you’ll have the chance to practice these tools in your own world. When we meet again, we’ll explore what worked, what didn’t, and keep adjusting until you find a rhythm of living that truly supports you.
